Minuteman Munitions 9mm Total Polymer Jacket Benefits:

  • TPJ's provide the performance of lead ammo without the smoke.
  • Resulting in less felt recoil and faster follow up shots.
  • TPJ's prevent barrel leading.
  • TPJ's are more cost effective for high volume shooters.

This 9mm is compatible with suppressors, shoots very quietly yet functions great in all 9mm guns suppressed or not.

Keeping up with market demand we have introduced a more economical training round, Blue Bullets. The Blue Bullet projectile is a hard cast lead bullet coated in a high temperature polymer. This round is highly popular with competition shooters and firearms trainers. There are a few benefits to these projectiles which include; less barrel wear, no barrel fouling, better accuracy, and of course a less expensive price. Please note that while this round does not smoke like a lead projectile, there is some smoke associated with it. For the ultimate in no smoke please see our TMJ selections.

Every box is manufactured with personal attention from quality components sourced entirely from the United States. With all brass casings, ultra-low-smoke and clean-burning powder and total metal jacket (TMJ) bullets, Minuteman Munitions 9mm ammo delivers quality ammunition without paying brand-name prices.

Disclaimer - Not responsible for any damages due to suppressor misuse. (Make sure your suppressor is installed properly.)

  • 147gr 9MM ammo

Posted by Stephen J Freidell on 9th Jan 2020

Recently I purchased some subsonic 147 9MM ammo. I had heard about the lower recoil on this product. I like MM training ammo so I decide to give it a try. Wow, what a significant difference. I tried it out on my buddy who shoots infrequently. With the 147 he was more comfortable and shot more accurately. Nuf said. My wife will love this the next time we shoot together. If the people you shoot with don't have fun due to recoil fear try this ammo. I also cleaned my gun afterward and with the coated bullets the barrel was very clean after shooting 140 rounds.

So far I have fired several hundred rounds of the Minuteman 147gr subsonic 9mm training bullets. Aside from a single failure that was magazine-related, there have been no malfunctions or other failures. Groupings have been consistent, and recoil has been more than manageable.

I have had reliable shooting out of an H&K VP9, a CZ Scorpian Evo, and a roller-lock semi-auto MP5 clone. The MP5 clone has always been picky on ammo types. with 115gr 9mm ammo the failure to extract/eject ratio is over 50%. Higher grain ammo has proved to be more reliable. Using Minuteman Munitions's 147gr ammo I have had zero failures. This ammo has been great with that rifle especially!

I have utilized a free decibel meter app on a Kindle Fire tablet to measure the sound output-now I do NOT have a specialized mic or any type of high quality sound analysis equipment so these numbers are a bit arbitrary. Standard 115gr ball ammo fired from a CZ Evo pistol rated at 81Db. Firing the 147gr Minuteman Munitions subsonic rounds rated in at 77Db. Utilizing a modular length suppressor, the 147gr rounds rated at 71Db in the shortened form and 65Db in longer configuration. Shooting steel targets at 30 yds, the sound of the bullet's impact on the steel was louder than the report of the gunshot.

I am VERY happy with the performance of Minuteman Munition's training ammo and will continue to purchase more.
